AEG washing machines are designed to wet laundry as quickly as possible in order to prevent the unsightly pilling which can occur when friction builds up between dry items. The Easy Iron programme helps prevent creasing of the laundry, and the Handwash programme allows hand-wash only garments such as silks, woollens and other delicates to be safely washed at up to 40C. There's also a really handy stain action programme which is designed to optimise the effectiveness of in-wash stain removers for maximum cleaning power.

The delay timer allows you to programme the machine to start up to 19 hours in advance to make use of cheaper night-time electricity, for example. Or if you wish, you can extend the time the laundry soaks in the wash solution. The same display can also show the programme time remaining.

The drying element has 2 heat settings and anti-crease tumble.

All materials used in AEG machines are biodegradable or recyclable and have five layers on the cabinet finish, ensuring that even if the case is scratched, it will not rust.

Bolero leather is specially treated with several coats of pigmented finish to give the leather an even and solid colour. The hide is printed with a grain finish which corrects some of its natural imperfections. The surface of the hide has a protective finish applied to it as part of the production process to give it some resistance to liquids and soiling. Cleaning is possible with a damp cloth and a solution of mild detergent.
